      Book Closing for the General Election is October 4, 2010.  Book Closing is a term used to indicate the last date a voter may register and be eligible to vote in an election.  Voters may still register, however they will not be eligible to vote in the November 2, General Election.  If you have any questions about Book Closing and what that means to you, please contact our office at 407.742.6000.

      Canvassing of Absentee Ballots will be conducted at the Supervisor of Elections Office on the following days and times:

      Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
      Friday, October 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
      Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.

      Absentee Ballots to be canvassed will be available for public inspection for 30 minutes prior to each of the scheduled canvass. Immediately after convening the canvassing board, ballots will be opened and processed but they will not be tabulated until after 7:00 p.m. on November 2, Election Night.

      Canvassing of Absentee/Provisional Ballots will be conducted at the Supervisor of Elections Office on the following day and time:

      Friday, November 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.

      Absentee Ballots and Provisional Ballots to be canvassed will be available for public inspection 30 minutes prior to the scheduled canvass. The canvassing board will review the Absentee/Provisional Ballots, then approved ballots will be opened and processed and the Canvassing Board will then prepare the Unofficial Final Results.
